Sharp IS 01 sport a 5-inch 960 x 480 capacitive touchscreen and a 1GHz processor. The consumer edition pf Sjharp IS01 MID will be available next month in Japan but its pricing info isstill unavailable. Sharp releasimg its Developer version of Sharp IS01 Android MID in Japan.

Runs on Android 1.6 OS, Sharp provide a proprietary Sharp API for developers to play with its infrared data transfer, LED flashlight, camera, opening and closing [notifications], and file picker. Unfortunately the Sharp IS01’s FM transmitter, 1Seg digital TV tuner, EVDO modem and phone functionality are untouchable.
